A woman making bonen for handloom weaver
A WOMAN WORKING IN UNORGANISED SECTOR

Most of these weavers and helping hands are illiterate or semi literate.Who can not search work in organised sectors where their qualifications are not accepted.Come from rural villages in search of jobs in tradtional weaving. They are mainly paid on piece rate instead of monthly wages.Work day and night in dirty working conditions to have enough money to only feed so they are unable to save for future.Despite their rough working conditions no social security benefits ..

Insecurity resulting fear is among workers. Question they voice is thier grim old age and dependency on their children

70-80%of total working population is from unorganised sectors in poor and developing countries of asia and Africa.
